What is Cloning? Database Cloning is a procedure that can be used to create an identical copy of the existing Oracle database. DBA sometimes need to clone databases to test backup and recovery strategies or export a table that was dropped from the production database and import it back into the production database. Cloning can be done on separate hosts or on the same host and is different from standby database. Hello Friends, In this article, I will write about Oracle’s disaster recovery (disaster recovery) solution. I will give the basic terminology in a short brief information about the Data Guard . ORA-01516: nonexistent log file, datafile, or tempfile

if  you got ora-01516 error in that case first you have to check DBA_TEMP_FILES OR V$TEMPFILE. FILE is available or not some time because of file corrupt.we dint found it in his loc. in that case we can do one thing. create new temp file and set as a default. that will help you resolve the problem...... thanks
